Indian Guide Campout

This is Kaden and his friend Kaden at an Indian Guide Campout this weekend. Kaden was initiated and drank Buffalo Blood. The first campout was a sucess and they loved every bit of it. I have heard about archery practice rockets, marshmellows and fire. Brian enjoyed it also but is a little tired since Kaden got in his cot at 3:30 in the morning because he heard footsteps.

Week 10

This is all the coaches kids on the Mac FIre Truck Friday night. We won our game and our record is 9 -1 ! Yea!! We will play our playoff game 11-16 against Cedar Hill. Brittnee came to see this game!

Go Cards

We love Coach Basil!

Kallie in JCPenny ads

Kallie is getting her hair done for a JC Penny's photo shoot. Be looking for Kallie in the ads for the next five weeks. We are so proud of Kallie and how she is already earning money for college.

Go Cardinals!! We Will Win!

The MacArthur Cardinals are playoff bound. The team is 8 -1. We are so proud of this team. We have one more regular season game against rivals Nimitz. I love to listen to Brian and the other coaches talk to the players after the games. Kallie got an up close seat on hearing what they had to say Friday night.

Halloween 2007

We had so much fun carving our pumpkin and baking the seeds. Kaden was a Motorcross rider and Kallie was a Barbie Island Princess for Halloween. Kallie came home about half way with blisters on her feet from her princess slippers.

Two Grandpa Basils visit

Brian's dad came to visit and surprised Brian by bringing his grandpa. Brian was very excited for them to get to see a good game and Brian gave his grandad the game ball. Kallie loved on Grandpa Basil a lot while he was here.

Field Trip and Smores

Kaden is milking a cow at a Petting Zoo we went to for a class field trip. Mamaw, April and Abbey came to visit and got to go along. We saw all kinds of animals and rode on a very short hay ride and picked out pumpkins.

Skate Town

Kaden was showing Kallie how to get around on the skating rink.

Homecoming

This is Kaden and Brian at the MacArthur Homecoming celebration. I cracked up when I saw on the picture that Kaden was giving the double peace signs.

Kids Word Mix-ups

Kallie said "I want my dad to be a pipe like Katie's dad so we can go to DisneyWorld." Katie's dad is a PILOT!

Kaden said "I just saw someone glittering." What he meant was littering.

Kallie keeps refering to a stranger as a solider.

Mac vs N Garland Week 2

We won 37 -7 against North Garland! The first picture is of Brian talking to the kids after the game telling them how proud he was of all of them. I went over and listened to them talking and after the coaches spoke one athlete raised his hand and praised the coaches and thanked them for all they do and all the hard work they put in. I needed to hear that. This is Brian's ministry and know he impressing values on each athlete he comes in contact with. The second is Brian with the quarterbacks. #1 starts and #14 is back up but plays a lot and #7 is a JV player.

Finger Lickin Good

Kallie had a chicken leg for the first time and Brian and I laughed so hard because she cleaned the bone. Brian said " you can tell she's a Mongold." I think it is a Prater (mom's maiden name) thing also. We love our fried chicken! I always tell Brian "there's a lot more meat on that bone." Ha Ha

Cheerleader Kallie

Kallie went to a local high school cheerleading clinic. This is Kallie and her friend Jazzy doing a cheer pose. They were the youngest girls there but that had fun and were to cute performing the dance and cheers. Go Mac!

Kaden plays soccer

Kaden is playing soccer for the Cobras. He is playing with some boys that he played T-ball with last Spring. We have lost the first two games but Kaden says he is having so much fun and loves playing soccer. Thats what counts.

Mac vs Arlington Sequin Week 1

Yea!!! We won! Our team played great. Kallie and Kaden's favorite part of the game is seeing what snacks I brought and then going on the field afterwards to see Daddy and run around on the field. After this game both teams gathered together to pray. It was really cool to see all those kids praising God with a win or a loss.

TCU - Kelly #69

We went to the TCU - Baylor game to watch one of Brian's players from last year at MacArthur. This is Kelly Griffin a true freshman who is starting for TCU. He is the first true freshman to start for Coach Patterson in the years he has been at TCU. Kelly is an awesome kid and all the coaches are so proud of him.

Kid Quotes

Kallie - "That looks like our old house, it was far away, I think it was in Africa."

I know we moved a lot but Africa.

Kaden - " Mom if you need money just call Countrywide, they will give you money without even paying for it."

This is a quote from a No Cost ReFi commercial. If only it were that easy.

Kallie's Birthday Party

Kallie is now 4 years old. She had a gymnastics birthday party with her friend Gabriella. They had so much fun!

Kaden's First Day of Kindergarten

Port Aransas Vacation

The first picture is after Bethany, Brittnee and I won a game of Beach Home Run Derby. We came back in the last inning to win. We had our rally caps on. Kallie especially liked playing in the sand and Kaden got a boogie board and surfed the waves. The pool was really big and the kids loved staying in a hotel.

Big Skirt Diva

We borrowed this skirt from a friend and when Kallie put it on she couldn't stop twirling and dancing around.

My birthday party

This was my birthday party that I had with a friend Vicki at the Glass Cactus. We had so much fun!! Mark and Michelle Smith are the first picture. The second picture is Brian and I with Vicki and Rob. Angela, Vicki, Laurie and I are the next picture. They were my summer 2007 pool buddies. Donny and my best friend Jennifer are the last picture.
